MEET THE TEAM

Shropshire Blues Official Supporters Club was founded by Keith Russell who is Branch Leader. Andy Sloan was appointed as Branch Assistant. Keith and Andy are both Birmingham City Season Ticket holders who travel from Shropshire to Blues matches.

KEITH RUSSELL

Keith lives in the Randlay area of Telford and is a season ticket holder in the Main Stand.

“Born in 1962 in Yardley, I moved with my family to Telford in 1999. I am married to Diana and have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

My first game was when my Uncle Phil took me to see Blues play Cardiff in 1972 at St Andrews. That was it! Lucky to watch the likes of Hatton, Latchford, Taylor, and of course, the imperious Trevor Francis, I quickly got the Blues bug and have been on the roller coaster ever since!

I love all things Blues, a good bit of banter and a decent beer! Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing some great times ahead.

ANDY SLOAN

Andy is a season ticket holder in the Kop along with his two sons.

“Born in 1978, I grew up near the cricket ground in Edgbaston. I now live just outside Shrewsbury in the Shropshire Hills area with my wife and three children after moving here in 2021.

My parents weren’t football fans, so I had no family connection to any football club. As a teenager in the 90’s I became more interested in football and decided to support Blues as they were my closest club. Once I set foot inside St Andrews, I was hooked.

I’m really excited about what the future holds for the club. I look forward to meeting many of you at matches, meetings and events in the future.
