Hi to all Shropshire Bluenoses!
What a fantastic season it was for all of us and how much are we all looking forward to another one to follow?! Never has there been such a great time to follow our beloved Blues.
Here at Shropshire Blues OSC we have very much enjoyed the ride, and long may it continue!
With this in mind, we would just like to tell you of just some of the main highlights that we were able to share with you during last season.
AN EVENING WITH DAVE LATCHFORD

Members Andy and Ken with Dave Latchford
In November 2024, we welcomed former Blues goalkeeper Dave Latchford to our club as President. What a great evening this was for one and all. Tom Ross was brilliant, as ever, in his Q&A session with big Dave and former Blues CEO Garry Cook was equally entertaining and inspirational in delivering a great speech too!
Tom is a great supporter of all of the OSC’s around the country and happily gives of his time to be at meetings and events. We are already in contact with him to arrange another similar event later this year. Please note that this will only be available at a subsidised ticket price exclusively to OSC members.

VERTU CUP FINAL AT WEMBLEY
OK, so the result at the end of the day didn’t go according to the script, but what a great day out! We at Shropshire Blues were thrilled to arrange coach travel for our members for the very first time and it was fantastic to meet so many of you and share that day with you.
We are keen to extend our travel schemes in the coming year and setup more car shares and group discounted rail travel to and from home games at St Andrews @ Knighthead Park.
Maybe even another Wembley Coach, if the situation arises!
We may also be able to offer, in conjunction with other OSC’s, travel to away games this season too.

ALLIANCE CUP 2025
Shortly after the season end, we saw some of our members participating in this OSC-wide annual event. OSC teams from around the world joined in to play in a 7-a-side group and knockout competion to decide the eventual Cup winners. Everybody had the chance to play on the hallowed turf of St Andrews and realise a life-long dream.
What a fantastic day this was for everybody that came along. Special thanks go to Jon Cook and Freddie Ford who pulled this all together. Becoming a member allows you to enjoy this opportunity, so don’t forget to contact Jon or Freddie to add you to the list of wannabe football stars for AC26.
Another point to mention is that the guys held previous get-together practice sessions locally in Telford. A great way to meet and create lasting friendships with like-minded Bluenoses. They also plan to play a “Shropshire Baggies” team at some point in the not too distant future!
It is now time for member renewals and we very hope you will join us once more on our journey. The most pleasing aspect for us is that we people together in the Shropshire region that now socialise with each other on a regular basis. This not only includes meetups at club meetings and events, but also hooking up with others on matchdays, both before and after games.
